How Second Life Affects Real Life - TIME

Thursday, 15 May 2008 2:17 P GMT-06
Cyber-realms are open for shamanic shifting! I know there are 'shamans' in Second Life. But I am instead considering anyone's Second Life as another shamanic dream dimension of reality, an alternative middle-world on another edge of ordinary reality, with unique potentials and possibilities for shamanizing beneficial changes for intentional release into everyday ordinary reality. Global Consciousness Project -- consciousness, group consciousness, mind

Monday, 23 April 2007 4:27 A GMT-06
Global Correlations in Random Data - 'We have been collecting data from a global network of random event generators since August, 1998. The network has grown to about 65 host sites around the world running custom software that reads the output of physical random number generators and records a 200-bit trial sum once every second, continuously over months and years. The data are transmitted over the internet to a server in Princeton, NJ, USA, where they are archived for later analysis. Individual data create a tapestry of color. The dot below shows coherence. The purpose of this project is to examine subtle correlations that appear to reflect the presence and activity of consciousness in the world. The scientific work is careful, but it is at the margins of our understanding...'

Plants with Soul

Thursday, 19 April 2007 8:26 P GMT-06
article in The Walrus online magazine...'the shamans...told him [Narby] something that he—trained in the materialist, rationalist ethos of Western science—could scarcely comprehend: that their wisdom derived from spirits within the plants themselves. In other words, they said, the plants of the Amazonian rainforest spoke to them, giving precise instructions in the art of healing and a great deal more. Narby initially thought this claim was a kind of shamanic joke. He quickly learned otherwise....'
